Art Wednesday: Mateo Maté

Art Wednesday with Elisa Hernando presents the artist Mateo Maté (Madrid, 1964) with whom we will chat together with Jesús Castaño, collector and director of the Martín Chirino Foundation and Javiera García-Huidobro Aninat, director of the Chilean gallery Aninat. Mateo Maté describes reality as a space invaded by rules that have configured our social, political and existential identity. Through his works he invites us to rethink and reinvent individual and collective geography in order to warn us of the symbolic potential of the context in which we live. His work has been exhibited at the Museo Reina Sofía, the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza in Madrid, PS1 Moma, New York and the Herzliya Museum, Tel Aviv, among others. His work is represented by the Chilean gallery Aninat and is available online at RedCollectors.com.
