Artist Biography: Juan Manuel Castro Prieto is a Spanish photographer born in Madrid in 1958. He started in photography in the early 1970s and in 1982 he graduated from the Escuela de Artes y Oficios in Madrid. Throughout his career, he has combined his personal work with commissioned photography for media and editorials.Castro Prieto is known for his poetic and evocative photographic style, which is characterized by the use of light and shadow to create suggestive and enigmatic atmospheres. His photographs, which focus on urban and rural landscapes, as well as portraits and everyday scenes, have been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums around the world.Among the awards and recognitions he has received are the National Photography Award in 2015, the Bartolomé Ros Award for the best graphic work in 2011 and the Kodak Foundation Photography Award in 1994. His work has also been included in important collections, such as those of the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in Madrid, the Bibliothèque nationale de France in Paris and the Fundación Telefónica.In addition to his work as a photographer, Castro Prieto has also given workshops and lectures on photography at various institutions and has published several books, such as "The Human Factor" and "Mexico." His work continues to be relevant and admired in the world of contemporary Spanish photography.Paisajes efímeros' represents spaces in decay in the form of delicate polyptychs that complement each other in imposing panoramas. - Avoid sudden changes in temperature. It is recommended to keep the paintings in areas with an ambient temperature of between 18-20º and 50% relative humidity.
- If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
