Art Wednesday: Arnulf Rainer
Art Wednesday with Elisa Hernando presents the work of the artist Arnulf Rainer (Bern, Austria 1929). His work is influenced by Surrealism, Viennese Actionism and Goya. In 1950 he founded the Hundsgruppe together with other artists such as Ernst Fuchs. Since 1970 he has been making photographs of himself, investigating the limits of performance, gesture and abstraction. His work is in collections such as TATE and MOMA. In this video we take a look at his exhibition at the NF art gallery with its director, Nerea Fernández and the collector Eduardo Salazar Yuste, patron of museums such as the MAMBO in Bogotá. We will talk about collecting art, art prices and the art market. The exhibition can be visited online at Redcollectors.
