Artist Biography: Jaime Velazquez, Cádiz, 1987. He studied Fine Arts at the Santa Isabel de Hungría faculty in Seville. He has exhibited individually at The Fine Arts Gallery in Gibraltar and recently in his hometown, El Puerto de Santa Maria in the exhibition hall Alfonso X El Sabio. His work is a reflection of its context and time. Immigration, identity issues, globalization, new technologies, collective history and memory are the themes that intersect in his visual narrative. Using the same capturing procedure employed by technology, the virtual world and digital marketing, Velázquez takes them out of context and brings them to new and unknown dimensions.
