Artist Biography: Luo Min is a contemporary painter born in 1968 in Sichuan, China. She graduated from Southwest China Normal University and received a Master's degree in Art from the Fine Art Academy of People 's Liberation Army. She currently lives and works between Beijing and Chengdu, China. She is a professional painter of Beijing Academy of Fine Arts and an important member of China Artists Association. She has held exhibitions in Asian and European countries.Luo Min's work is noted for its expression on life and artistic experience in a highly personalized language, where she portrays individual emotions and visual connotation through skillful brushstrokes and bright colors. The Theme of her paintings ranges from colorful still lifes to portraits of complex personalities of the rigid and delicate life of female troops, to portraits of vigorous Tibetans.Luo Min chooses everyday and simple materials as objects of representation and analysis, not only explaining the essence of the aesthetics of life, but also showing the visual beauty of painting. As a female painter, she pours her subconscious maternal feelings into the forms and mediums of painting, and extends this emotional accumulation to family, life, work and children in the micro-world. Luo Min's work is highly appreciated for its strong emotional connection and skill in visual representation.Luo Min's paintings 罗敏 cover a wide range of subjects, usually from Theme everyday life. She explores the world around her and captures, through skillful brushstrokes and bright colors, the impressions received. In her paintings she conveys everyday life and the relationship of human beings with the time and place they inhabit. Luo Min 罗敏 collects the impressions she receives from the world that surrounds her and reflects them in her delicate canvases, characterized by a personal pictorial language, which refers to the artist's deepest emotions and thoughts.
