Artist Biography: Ana Esteve Llorens was born in Valencia in 1975. Before dedicating herself to sculpture and installation, she trained in engineering and telecommunications, specializing in Image and Sound. Her scientific and technological education influences her artistic work, in which she combines craftsmanship and technology in the treatment of classical and industrial materials.she has been awarded numerous prizes and scholarships, such as the Fulbright scholarship, the AMEXCID excellence award and the Fundación Arte y Derecho scholarship. In addition, she has been artist-in-residence at prestigious institutions such as Yaddo in New York, Casa Velázquez in Madrid and the National Institute of Fine Arts in Mexico City.In her installations and sculptural pieces, Ana Esteve Llorens seeks to expand the syntax of sculpture, linking diverse materials and technologies to explore new forms and meanings. Her work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Spain and abroad, and her work is part of public and private collections around the world.In short, Ana Esteve Llorens is a contemporary Spanish artist whose background in engineering and telecommunications is reflected in her artistic practice, in which she combines craftsmanship and technology in the treatment of classical and industrial materials to expand the syntax of sculpture.
