Luis Olaso - STUDY FOR VASE AND FLOWERS II

Artist Biography: Luis Olaso (Bilbao, 1986) is a plastic artist, initially self-taught, and later graduated in Art at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Basque Country UPV/EHU, whose work is located halfway between expressionist figuration and abstraction. His work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions at JD Malat Gallery in London (UK), Makasiini Contemporary Gallery in Turku (Finland), Juan Manuel Lumbreras Gallery in Bilbao, Mirat Projects Gallery in Madrid and KUR Gallery in San Sebastian, among others. He has also participated in numerous international fairs such as Estampa Madrid (2022), Contemporary Istanbul (2022), ZonaMaco International Art Fair (2022), Untitled Miami (2019), International Art Biennial of Cerveira, Portugal (2017), Art Marbella International contemporary art fair (2017), among others. At the same time, his work is part of important public and private art collections, such as Yusaku Maezawa's Contemporary Art Foundation of Tokyo, Stefan Simchowich's SIMCO Foundation, the Diputación Foral de Bizkaia, the VELATIA Collection, Luis de Morales de Badajoz, or the Fundación Santander Creativa. His work has been awarded and selected as a finalist in such prestigious competitions as the Reina Sofía Prize for painting and sculpture (2017-2018), Premio pintura Ciudad de Badajoz, Premio Ibercaja pintura joven, or the Focus International Painting Prize, among others.
This work includes a certificate of authenticity. A certificate of authenticity is a document from an authoritative source that verifies the authentication value of the work of art. The certificate may be signed by the author of the work, by the representing gallery or by the printmaker who collaborated with the artist on the work.

- Keep works of art away from direct sunlight and any other source of heat (heating, air conditioning, etc.). Avoid hanging works of art near smoky and polluted areas (such as fireplaces or kitchens). We advise you to protect the paintings with a glass frame.
- Avoid sudden changes in temperature. It is recommended to keep the paintings in areas with an ambient temperature of between 18-20º and 50% relative humidity.
- If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
