Julia Beliaeva - Mother of deers
Artist Biography: Ukrainian artist Julia Beliaeva (Haisyn, Ukraine, 1988) is a multidisciplinary artist whose artistic practice spans a variety of media, including digital and traditional sculpture. Digital painting, 3D scanning/modeling/printing, and XR are complemented by very "physical" ceramics in Julia's work. The fragile nature of porcelain, coupled with its connotation as something of the past, entices Julia to conduct frequent experiments aimed at rethinking traditional media through contemporary technology. Julia gracefully balances virtuality and physicality, merging past and present in a carefully articulated world. The glazed surface of a fine porcelain correlates with the smoothness of digital shine. Julia uses the latest technology to examine the ghosts of the past. She alters the very nature of the medium by fusing fragments of opposing contexts and ideas. His dichotomous approach helps to construct an alternative dimension capable of reflecting reality as well as the past.
This work includes a certificate of authenticity. A certificate of authenticity is a document from an authoritative source that verifies the authentication value of the work of art. The certificate may be signed by the author of the work, by the representing gallery or by the printmaker who collaborated with the artist on the work.
