Places of War

Places of War' will have the concept of an installation, consisting of an inventory of intervened photographs, with chromatic alteration and recourse to drawing, five paintings on cut-out plexiglass and mounted in light boxes, on the theme of war. The current war scenario in various parts of the world was the starting point for this original work. Cities have become the targets of political activity in permanent coercion. Places that were once places of encounter and coexistence are now ephemeral spaces of rupture and conflict.

From an inventory of images of war and its consequences on communities in various countries, the artist selected a set of photographs of the chaotic state of cities that were subject to attack or bombing. Altering the chromatic aspect, the images were also subjected to a graphic intervention to define a kind of geometry of chaos.
