Art Wednesday: Isidro Blasco
Art Wednesday with Elisa Hernando presents the artist Isidro Blasco (Madrid, 1962) whose work deals with architecture and visual iconography from a fragmentary, incomplete perspective. The Madrid-born artist explores the terrain and distorts it by connecting images in sculptures reminiscent of cubism. His work has been exhibited in major museums and institutions such as the Museo Reina Sofia and belongs to the collections of the Whitney Museum, Queens Museum of Art and MoMA, among others. In this video we take a look at his artistic production and museum exhibitions with the gallerist Raquel Ponce, the architect José Juan Barba and the artist himself. His exhibition will be temporarily online at Redcollectors.com and physically at the Ponce + Robles gallery in Madrid.
