Flor Garduño
Photography
68,5 x 60,5 cm

Mexican Flor Garduño, one of the most influential photographers in Latin America, spent her childhood in her family home, which, as she says, was a veritable zoo. Being permanently surrounded by animals made them important protagonists in many of her photographs, as in this one in which a woman shows us a collection of iguanas knotted together as a necklace.
Isabel Muñoz
Photography
80 x 60 cm
Editions: 25

This image was taken by Isabel Muñoz, National Photography Award 2016, under the Japanese waters. In her own words "I started this project attracted by the beauty of marine environments and as a wake-up call to the dangers that threaten their survival. The sea gives us everything without asking anything in return. We take it for granted that its wealth is inexhaustible, that it can handle our carelessness, our lack of foresight, our excesses, but this is not the case. What are we going to leave our children and grandchildren if we are not capable of caring for its treasures, if we continue to throw plastics into the sea that are deadly traps for the species that inhabit it, if we continue to dump waste that will put an end to marine biodiversity?

Alberto Ros
Photography
40 x 70 cm

Buy

This installation by Alberto Ros is made with recycled tin cans that the artist has turned into light boxes. Each one of them houses an image, the whole of which composes a landfill scene. Despite the prosaic nature of the subject, the result is a surprising visual poem that traps us with its contradictory story.

The kiss belongs to the series Peluquería, with which Bárbara Allende Gil de Biedma began to make a name for herself in the artistic panorama of the Madrid movida. Ouka Leele, winner of the 2005 National Photography Prize, initially started with a black and white copy that she later colored with watercolor.

Carlos Pérez Siquier
Photography
50 x 60 cm

Buy

The series "La Playa", to which this photograph belongs, is an exponent of how within the classic Spanish photography flashes of a surprising modernity were produced even in the international framework. Martin Parr himself has recognized the exceptional nature of Pérez Siquier's color work, winner of the 2003 National Photography Prize.

Cecilia Paredes
Photography
66 x 50 cm
Editions: 5

Buy

This photograph is one of the characteristics of the Peruvian artist's photoperformances, emotional narratives that she translates into visual language by painting her body in endless mise en scene with her own figure as inspiration and source.

Buy

Iconic work of Spanish photography very representative of the genius of this author, National Photography Award 2004 and a reference of that generation of the 50's that renewed and shook the conception that was held until then of photography in our country.

Cristóbal Hara
Photography
40 x 50 cm
Editions: 30

Buy

If you ask Cristóbal Hara what distinguishes his way of working in color, he will answer that perhaps it is his lack of control over the images. The heritage of this photographer of documentary tradition, National Photography Award 2022, is enriched by taking advantage of the intervention of chance and the unforeseen. From the study of alternatives in the construction of images, he manages to break with the correction of the traditional composition for the benefit of the emotional charge of the works.
