Raquel Serrano - "s/t IX (virtual window)".
Artist Biography: Raquel Serrano (b. 1995 Huelva, Spain) Lives and works in Seville, Spain. Has a degree in Fine Arts and a Master's degree in Art: Idea and Production, where she obtained the Extraordinary Studies Award from the University of Seville. Currently she is working on her PhD, teaches in the Drawing Department and research in the group HUM822: Graphics and Digital Creation at the same University. In 2022, she carried out an artistic research internship at the UAL (University of the Arts London). Her work has been presented in solo exhibitions at Espacio Laraña, Digallery, ArteSantander International Contemporary Art Fair or Centro Párraga. In 2019 was selected for the conference "A Secas, Andalusian artists of today" organized by CAAC (Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo) and for the Genal- guacil Art Encounters in 2020. She participated in the International Meeting of Emerging Graphic Art OPEN PORT- FOLIO FIG BILBAO 2019 and in the international art fairs such as ARCOmadrid with Genalguacil Pueblo Museo in 2021 and Diputación de Huelva in 2022 as well in Estampa with Digallery in 2021 and 2022. Her work is represented in the collection of the CAAC (Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo) and the MAC (Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Genalguacil).
Through the mosquito screens that covers the windows, glimpses a fragmented image, a mesh that captures time as if each moment resounds with the echo of what once has been, but is no longer. Portals that lead us to different worlds, realities, and possibilities.
This work includes a certificate of authenticity. A certificate of authenticity is a document from an authoritative source that verifies the authentication value of the work of art. The certificate may be signed by the author of the work, by the representing gallery or by the printmaker who collaborated with the artist on the work.
The information usually included in a certificate of authenticity is: name of the artist, details of the work (title, date, support, dimensions) and an image of the work.
- Keep works of art away from direct sunlight and any other source of heat (heating, air conditioning, etc.). Avoid hanging works of art near smoky and polluted areas (such as fireplaces or kitchens). We advise you to protect the paintings with a glass frame.
- Avoid sudden changes in temperature. It is recommended to keep the paintings in areas with an ambient temperature of between 18-20º and 50% relative humidity.
- If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
