Artist Biography: Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 1925 - Madrid, 2019. His medium of plastic expression has been wrought iron, making the Wind and the spiral his ''leit motiv''. The artist understands it as an Atlantic and Mediterranean sign, trying to emulate the nature of his original islands. The wind emerges materialized, capturing the intangible in the most condensed matter. He is co-founder of the group ''El Paso''. It is worth mentioning his presence in the American panorama through the exhibition ''New Spanish Painters and Sculptors'', at the MoMA in New York. He presided over the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid between 1982 and 1992, and directed the Centro Atlántico de Arte Moderno in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria between 1989 and 2002. Among his titles and awards are: Honorary Academician by the Royal Canarian Academy of Fine Arts of San Miguel Arcángel (2001), International Sculpture Prize of the Budapest Biennial, National Plastic Arts Prize, Canary Islands Plastic Arts Prize, Gold Medal for Fine Arts, National Sculpture Prize of the CEOE, Medal of Honor of the Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid and Plastic Arts Prize of the Community of Madrid in 2003. He is represented by the Marlborough Gallery since 1998.

- Avoid sudden changes in temperature. It is recommended to keep the paintings in areas with an ambient temperature of between 18-20º and 50% relative humidity.
- If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
