Marinella Senatore - Make it Shine
Artist Biography: Marinella Senatore is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice is characterized by a strong participatory dimension and a constant dialogue between history, popular culture and social structures. After studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples (1994-1997), the Conservatory of Music (1997) and the National Film School in Rome (1999-2001), she devoted herself to the visual arts and uses a variety of media, such as action, video, photography, installation, sculpture, painting, drawing and collage.Marinella Senatore's art is an amalgam of different elements that she relates in the same scene, which creates a pure energy that flows from the encounter of these elements. As an activator of a work of art, she seeks to use it as a transforming mechanism of the reality that surrounds the viewer. Her works are participatory and seek to involve the viewer in the creation of the work.Senatore uses narrative in her works to create a critical and socially engaged dialogue with today's society. Her works often address issues such as politics, social justice and gender equality, and seek to create a space for active participation and reflection by the viewer.Marinella Senatore has exhibited her work in numerous galleries and museums around the world, and has received significant recognition, including the MAXXI Prize in 2014 and the Villa Medici Scholarship in 2018. Her work has been praised for its ability to create a space for dialogue and interaction between art and society.

- If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
