Artist Biography: Lola Lasurt nació en Barcelona en 1983, y actualmente vive y trabaja entre esta ciudad y Gante, Bélgica. Estudió Bellas Artes en la Universitat de Barcelona y continuó su formación con un postgrado en Estética y Teoría del Arte Contemporáneo en la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, así como un Máster en Producciones Artísticas y Investigación en la Universitat de Barcelona.Durante su carrera, ha realizado diversas residencias artísticas, incluyendo el HISK en Gante, La Ene en Buenos Aires, Kunsthuis en Friesland, Holanda, Greatmore Art Studios en Ciudad del Cabo, Sudáfrica, Eart en Barcelona y Hangar en Barcelona.Entre sus exposiciones más recientes, destacan "Write of Spring" en Het Paviljoen en Gante, "Doble autorització" en la Fundació Miró de Barcelona, "Los Inmutables" en DAFO en Lleida, "Learn and Teach" en Cape Town Art Week, "Amnèsies" en Espai2 en Terrassa, "La gran aventura" en Can Felipa en Barcelona, "El Gegant Menhir" en el Museu Abelló en Mollet del Vallès, "Contextos Intermedia" en Tecla Sala en Barcelona, y "Paradís Perdut" en Can Felipa en Barcelona.El trabajo de Lola Lasurt se centra en la pintura y en cómo esta puede abordar temas políticos y sociales. Recommendations for the proper conservation of works of art:
- Keep works of art away from direct sunlight and any other source of heat (heating, air conditioning, etc.). Avoid hanging works of art near smoky and polluted areas (such as fireplaces or kitchens). We advise you to protect the paintings with a glass frame.
- Avoid sudden changes in temperature. It is recommended to keep the paintings in areas with an ambient temperature of between 18-20º and 50% relative humidity.
- If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
