Artist Biography: Lilly Lulay is a visual artist and photographer born in Frankfurt, Germany, in 1985. Her work focuses on the relationship between image and object, and how photography can be used to question visual perception.Lulay uses experimental techniques in her work, including digital manipulation and image overlay.In her most recent work, Lulay has begun experimenting with three-dimensional photography, creating sculptures and objects that combine printed photographs with materials such as metal and glass.Lilly Lulay's work has been exhibited in various galleries and museums around the world, including the Museum für Moderne Kunst in Frankfurt, Germany, the Museum Folkwang in Essen, Germany, and the Galería Leyendecker in Tenerife, Spain. In 2017, Lulay received the Photography Award of the Hessian Ministry of Culture in Germany.In short, Lilly Lulay's work is characterized by her experimental approach and her ability to question the relationship between image and object in contemporary society.
