Artist Biography:"I've been avoiding music since I was 16 years old. Especially live music, theaters and concert halls. An abrupt diagnosis of hypoacusis predicted a gradual hearing loss, so I decided to remedy it by depriving myself of the pleasure of sound beforehand. Later came the sensation of isolation; the ambient sound became noise and the voices around me melted into it. Instinctively, I accustomed my brain to fill in the gaps, imagining what it could be and filling them with images". - Laia Abril "Silent Song" is a project created under the concept of the Gran Teatre del Liceu's season: Voices of Obsession, the result of a deep dialogue between the Catalan artist Laia Abril and the Dutch composer Rubén Samama. The musical piece, based on the frequencies Abril cannot hear, is translated into backlit pieces as a psychomagical ritual, visualizing the inaudible.
This work includes a certificate of authenticity. A certificate of authenticity is a document from an authoritative source that verifies the authentication value of the work of art. The certificate may be signed by the author of the work, by the representing gallery or by the printmaker who collaborated with the artist on the work.

- Avoid sudden changes in temperature. It is recommended to keep the paintings in areas with an ambient temperature of between 18-20º and 50% relative humidity.
- If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
