Jaime Velazquez - Toki
Artist Biography: Jaime Velazquez, Cádiz, 1987, Cursó la Licenciatura de Bellas Artes, en la facultad Santa Isabel de Hungría en Sevilla. Especializado en serigrafía, grabado, litografía y diseño gráfico, posee también un Máster en Patrimonio Histórico otorgado por la Universidad de Cádiz. Velazquez ha sido preseleccionado en el 37º Premio BMW De Pintura 2022; ha participado en exposiciones colectivas como “Ser-Aquí”, en el Palacio provincial de la Diputación de Cádiz y ganado el Primer premio The Gustavo Bacarisas Award en el 44 International Art Competition of Gibraltar siendo jurado del certamen el artista Tim Shaw. Ha expuesto de manera individual en The Fine Arts Gallery en Gibraltar y recientemente en su ciudad natal, El Puerto de Santa María en la Sala de exposiciones Alfonso X El Sabio. Su obra es un reflejo de su contexto y su tiempo. La inmigración, las cuestiones de identidad, la globalización, las nuevas tecnologías, la historia colectiva y la memoria son los temas que se entrecruzan en su narrativa visual. Utilizando el mismo procedimiento de captura que emplean la tecnología, el mundo virtual y el marketing digital, Velázquez los saca de contexto y los lleva a dimensiones nuevas y desconocidas.
This work includes a certificate of authenticity. A certificate of authenticity is a document from an authoritative source that verifies the authentication value of the work of art. - Avoid sudden changes in temperature. It is recommended to keep the paintings in areas with an ambient temperature of between 18-20º and 50% relative humidity.
- If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
