Artist Biography: Iván Candeo was born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1983 and currently resides in Barcelona, Spain. Since 2004 he has been part of an independent studio group composed of artists of different generations and in 2008 he obtained a degree as Professor, with a Specialization in Plastic Arts, at the Universidad Pedagógica Experimental Libertador, Instituto Pedagógico de Caracas. He also studied for a Master's Degree in History and Theory of the Plastic Arts at the Universidad Central de Venezuela and a Diploma in Contemporary Venezuelan History at the Fundación Rómulo Betancourt.In 2018 he received a scholarship to study at the Laboratorio de Prácticas Audiovisuales Contemporáneas, Master LAV in Madrid, and was a resident at the Colombian space Lugar a Dudas, directed by artist Óscar Muñoz.Candeo has had several solo exhibitions in galleries in Spain and Venezuela, including "Antes que, mientras que, más tarde" at Carmen Araujo Arte Gallery in Caracas, Venezuela in 2021, "Novæ Andalusiæ. Observante inestable" at Alarcón Criado Gallery in Seville, Spain in 2019, and "Sin Acto" at Carmen Araujo Arte Gallery in Caracas, Venezuela in 2018. He has also participated in several group exhibitions in Hispanic America, the United States, Canada and Europe, including the Bienal Internacional de Arte Contemporáneo de América del Sur (BIENALSUR) in Cúcuta, Colombia in 2019.Candeo has received several awards, including the Armando Reverón Award at the Bienal 65 Salón Arturo Michelena in 2010, the Venezuelan Association of Plastic Artists Award in the Young Artist category in 2012, and second prize at the XII Edition of the Eugenio Mendoza Award of the Sala Mendoza in 2013. In addition to his work as an artist, he also works as a teacher.

- Avoid sudden changes in temperature. It is recommended to keep the paintings in areas with an ambient temperature of between 18-20º and 50% relative humidity.
- If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
