Artist Biography: Gonzalo Elvira (Patagonia, Argentina, 1971) trained at the Escuela de Artes Visuales Antonio Berni in Argentina and began his exhibition career in 1993. He lives and works in Barcelona since 2000 and combines his artistic facet with an intense educational and pedagogical work concentrated in the Obra Door studio, which he manages and directs in the neighborhood of Gracia. Gonzalo Elvira's works are developed over the years in the form of series that, far from being closed, are revisited or recovered at specific moments and that keep a great relationship Theme and fully complementary between them. Among his works we can highlight the series: 12 concrete songs, a project dedicated to the monument that Walter Gropius conceived as a tribute to the nine workers killed during a strike in Weimar; La balada de Simón, which reconstructs the political and life story of Simón Radowitzky, a Ukrainian-Argentinean anarchist who, after the brutal police repression during the events of the Red Week in Buenos Aires (1909), assassinated the police chief in charge, Ramón Lorenzo Falcón; Lo Imborrable, which takes as its title a book by Juan José Saer and which he made from the analysis of the last dictatorship in Argentina; Assaig S.T. 1909-1919, a work in which two historical events, the Tragic Week in Barcelona and the one in Buenos Aires, come face to face; Finally, Bauhaus 1919, a model to assemble about the important school and its model, so often idealized. A work that over time has focused on the figure of women and the role they played in the German school.

- Avoid sudden changes in temperature. It is recommended to keep the paintings in areas with an ambient temperature of between 18-20º and 50% relative humidity.
- If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
