Description
Flore - S/T. FL-754 From Sadec to Saigon

Technique: Platinotype with tea stain. Lead frame and museum glass made by the author.

Artist Biography: Daughter of the painter Olga Gimeno, Flore was born in the south of France in 1963. She began her photographic career in 1977 and, after studying in Toulouse, she settled in Paris, where she lives and works today, receiving the Carte Blanche of the city of Paris for the creation of a series on the Petit Palais, the Musée de Beaux Arts de Paris and for her photographic project on the Rivesaltes concentration camp. In 2008 she toured the Mediterranean for the realization of her series "Une femme française en Orient" and in 2014 she created the series "Choses vues au Royaume de Siam", previously exhibited at the gallery. Parallel to her artistic activity, she runs an analog photography course in Paris within the collective L'OEil de l'Esprit.

Materials and care
Recommendations for the proper conservation of works of art:
  • Keep works of art away from direct sunlight and any other source of heat (heating, air conditioning, etc.). Avoid hanging works of art near smoky and polluted areas (such as fireplaces or kitchens). We advise you to protect the paintings with a glass frame.
  • Avoid sudden changes in temperature. It is recommended to keep the paintings in areas with an ambient temperature of between 18-20º and 50% relative humidity.
  • If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
