Drawing lines of pictorial relationships and relationships with other artistic disciplines and conform, then, a certain genealogy. Where does it go? Where does it come from? And then I forget them all. 2. The play between matter and surface, the very act of painting, desire and time. Creation and destruction, putting and taking away, affirm and deny, black and white, countless dichotomies and fights of opposites, the struggle and pleasure and what is lost in this wandering and what remains: accidents, accidents, accidents, accidents, accidents. what is lost and what remains: accidents, drips, errors, traces, edges, interstices, remains... the magic of the matter and the gesture registered in the matter and the gesture registered on the surface. All that "other" that happens while I strive to paint and, then, I manage to paint worse. to paint worse. 1 + 2. Before, here, there, now? From all this, elements are born that will be repeated, varied, transformed, developed, again and again, and thus the author converts them, suddenly, into language; in that pictorial instant where everything happens and converges, gesture -who does- and eye -who decides- become, in a definitive way, the two fundamental tools of the artist. And then this painting begins to be, above all, an exciting game -at the same time primitive and sophisticated- between the body, thought and matter. Selection of collections: Ministry of Culture.
