David Nash - King and Queen III
Artist Biography: David Nash (born 14 November 1945 in Esher, England) is a British sculptor. He is known for his wooden sculptures and installations in the natural landscape. He began his art training at the Kingston School of Art and continued at the Chelsea School of Art in London. During his studies, he discovered his love for wood and began working with it as a sculptural material. After graduating in 1967, he traveled to the United States and spent a year at the University of California, Davis, where he was influenced by the works of Robert Arneson and Bruce Nauman.In the 1970s, Nash settled in Wales and began creating large-scale works in nature, using wood and other natural materials. In 1980, he won the Liverpool John Moores Foundation Prize for his wooden sculpture "Round Tower", which was acquired by the Tate Gallery in London. In 2004, he was awarded the title of Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for services to art. Throughout his career, Nash has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions around the world, including the National Gallery of Modern Art in Tokyo, the San Francisco Museum of Art, and the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool. In 2009, his work was the subject of a retrospective at the Yorkshire Art Museum.In addition to his work as a sculptor, Nash is also an environmental activist and has planted more than 20,000 trees on land he bought in Wales in the 1970s. He is also a member of the Berlin Academy of Arts.

- If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
