Daniel Verbis - He who guards his mouth guards his soul
Artist Biography: Daniel Verbis (León, 1968) es un artista poco ortodoxo que experimenta con una amplia variedad de materiales, incluyendo resinas, plastilinas, botones, hilos y lanas, cuerdas y lonas plásticas, que tradicionalmente se han mantenido fuera del ámbito de las técnicas pictóricas. Licenciado en Bellas Artes por la Universidad de Salamanca entre 1986 y 1991, su obra combina instalaciones con la pintura, integrando ambas en un juego lúdico que da prioridad a las preguntas y a los interrogantes. En su hacer artístico, Verbis no reconoce las antiguas diferencias y antagonismos entre la pintura y la escultura, y sus imágenes están abiertas, adivinándose el proceso que da paso a que el espectador retome la lectura en otra obra en donde el mismo motivo está resuelto con técnica diferente.Es frecuente que el bastidor de los lienzos sea una parte importante del significado final de la imagen, lo que convierte sus obras en claves visuales para que el espectador realice una interpretación de los mecanismos de significado artístico. En sus últimas obras, Verbis se centra en el papel de aluminio y el dibujo, proyectando círculos de colores y realizando dibujos con aceites, bolígrafos e hilos. Su obra se enfoca en aspectos esencialistas de formas o ensamblajes de formas netas, sin ornamentos, y es un ejemplo de la transgresión de fronteras entre géneros artísticos. En resumen, Verbis es un artista contemporáneo altamente creativo y transgresor, cuyo trabajo desafía las convenciones y explora nuevos territorios estéticos.

- If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
