Artist Biography: Cristóbal Tabares is a contemporary artist born in Arafo, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in 1984. He graduated in Fine Arts and later completed a Master's degree in Art and Territory at the University of La Laguna.Tabares has exhibited in various galleries and cultural spaces both in Spain and abroad, including cities such as Santiago de Compostela, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Fuerteventura and Madrid.His work is characterized by a constant investigation into the concept of landscape and its relationship with culture and society. In his creative process, he uses diverse techniques and materials, such as painting, photography, drawing and video, and always seeks to establish a connection between the landscape and the viewer.Among the awards and recognitions he has obtained are the "Jóvenes Creadores" award from the Government of the Canary Islands in 2009, the "Injuve para la Creación Joven" award in 2010 and the "Certamen de Artes Plásticas de la Universidad de La Laguna" award in 2014. In addition, his work is part of various public and private collections in Spain.Tabares' work has been presented at art fairs such as ARCOmadrid, Drawing Room and JustMadrid, among others, and has been the subject of various publications and reviews in specialized contemporary art media.
