Artist Biography:Cristina Iglesias (San Sebastian, Spain, 1956) is a prominent sculptor known for her abstract and conceptual sculptural style that combines traditional materials such as bronze and stone with natural elements such as water and light. Her work is characterized by exploring the relationship between architectural space and the viewer's sensory experience. Iglesias has developed a diverse artistic practice that ranges from monumental sculptural installations to small, intimate pieces. One of his most emblematic works is the "Pavilions" series, structures that fuse architecture and sculpture to create introspective and evocative spaces. Her work has achieved international renown for her large-scale commissions, such as the ceremonial doors of the Prado Museum, the Deep Fountain at the entrance of the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Antwerp, the extensive interventions in the city of Toledo and her installation in the City of London. Cristina Iglesias has left a significant mark on the contemporary art world, constantly exploring new forms of sculptural expression that challenge the traditional boundaries of the discipline.
