Artist Biography: Cabello and Carceller is a contemporary artist couple formed by Helena Cabello (Paris, 1963) and Ana Carceller (Madrid, 1964). The pair has been noted for their work in photography, film, video, installations and performance, which explores issues of gender, sexuality, power and politics.Cabello and Carceller met at the San Carlos School of Fine Arts in Valencia, Spain, and began working together in the mid-1990s. Since then, their work has been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums in Spain and around the world.Among their best-known works are the photographic series "Postporno" and "The Pornographic Imagination," which question representations of gender and sexuality in popular culture. They have also produced installations and performances addressing politics and identity, such as "The Spanish Suitcase," which focused on historical memory and politics in Spain.In addition to their work as artists, Cabello and Carceller have also been activists for LGBTQ+ rights and have advocated for the visibility and inclusion of the community in art and society at large. They have participated in numerous conferences and talks on these issues, and have been recognized for their contribution to the fight for equality and justice.In 2019, Cabello and Carceller were selected to represent Spain at the Venice Biennale, where they presented an installation called "Ser y Durar" that explored the relationship between the body and architecture.In short, Cabello and Carceller are a pair of contemporary artists who have been recognized for their work in photography, film, video, installations and performance, and for their commitment to the fight for equality and justice. Their work addresses issues of gender, sexuality, power and politics, and has been exhibited worldwide.
This work includes a certificate of authenticity. A certificate of authenticity is a document from an authoritative source that verifies the authentication value of the work of art. Recommendations for the proper conservation of works of art:

- Avoid sudden changes in temperature. It is recommended to keep the paintings in areas with an ambient temperature of between 18-20º and 50% relative humidity.
- If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
