Beatriz Vazquez - HOPEFUL

Artist Biography: Beatriz Vázquez is a Spanish painter, who uses in her abstract landscape painting the psychology of color and her natural environment in Asturias (rural area of northern Spain), as a constantly evolving source of inspiration. Beatriz received a classical training at the University of Fine Arts in her hometown, Seville, in southern Spain. Creativity has been present in her daily life since she was very young, always interested in drawing and looking at images in art books. Her paintings speak to us of the notions of abstraction, as well as the color palette of realist painters, such as Antonio López García. However, the painter employs strokes of delicate and neutral tones, and layers of acrylic and oil, which reveal traces of the memory of her reflection on the world, in a sensitive and devoid of ego way. Working on large format canvases, with acrylic and oil paint, Beatriz uses her research in color psychology to give the works a sensory effect: the harmonious tones of the work connect her audience to the landscape she creates in each painting. The texture is built through gestural marks that imprint the canvas, indicative of the time and thought that she pours into each of her pieces. He has been a finalist in several contemporary painting awards, exhibits regularly and sells his work to a national and international clientele: UK, Germany, Denmark and USA.The PENSIVE oil painting on stretched linen represents a moment of introspection during one's own conduct, thoughts, desires or emotions. As inspiration I have used the landscape of the rural area where my studio is in northern Spain. I have worked with a subtle and aesthetic color palette, and I am hoping for the viewer to feel connected with the image as well as enjoy the laborious brush work through out the whole painting. PLEASE NOTE: - FRAMING is AVAILABLE upon request as I work closely with a local framer atelier. - This painting comes with a certificate of authenticity. - The artwork is signed at the back. - It is wired on the back, so it is ready to hang once you receive it. - It is protected from dust and UV light by a thin layer of varnish. Recommendations for the proper conservation of works of art:
- Keep works of art away from direct sunlight and any other source of heat (heating, air conditioning, etc.). Avoid hanging works of art near smoky and polluted areas (such as fireplaces or kitchens). We advise you to protect the paintings with a glass frame.
- Avoid sudden changes in temperature. It is recommended to keep the paintings in areas with an ambient temperature of between 18-20º and 50% relative humidity.
- If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
