Artist Biography: Arantxa Etcheverria is a contemporary artist born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1975. She studied Fine Arts at the University of Buenos Aires and later completed a master's degree in Aesthetics and Theory of the Arts at the same institution. In addition, she has taken several courses and workshops at different art and design centers in Spain.Etcheverria's work focuses on the exploration of creative processes and the relationship between form and space. In her work, she uses a wide variety of techniques and materials, including drawing, painting, photography and installation.She has had solo exhibitions in various galleries and museums in Spain, Argentina, Mexico and the United States, and has participated in numerous group exhibitions around the world. In 2012, she was selected for the residency program at the Centro de Arte Contemporáneo de Salamanca, Spain.Among her most notable works are "Huellas", an installation that uses mirrors to create a sense of depth and duplication, and "Laberintos", a series of drawings and paintings that explore the relationship between space and time. In addition, she has collaborated with architects and interior designers, creating site-specific works for different spaces.Etcheverria has been awarded several prizes and recognitions for her work, including the National Drawing Prize in Argentina in 2005 and the Artistic Creation Grant from the Antonio Gala Foundation in 2011.In short, Arantxa Etcheverria is a versatile and multidisciplinary artist, whose work invites the viewer to reflect on the relationship between form and space, creativity and artistic processes.
