Teresa Moro - Frida Kahlo, working table
Technique: Gouache on paper
Artist Biography: Madrid, 1970. Lives and has his studio in Pozuelo de Alarcón. Graduated in Fine Arts specializing in Painting from the Complutense University of Madrid and trained during a course in the Department of Painting at the Chelsea School of Art and Design in London. Things, those we have in our private space or those we see outside it are the main and obsessive subject of Teresa Moro's work. The objects of common use, the affective connection with them or the evocative power that the relationship with their owners brings to them, have always been the motif of her work. For years she has been painting the ordinary things that surround us with the intention of revealing their most enigmatic dimension, and thus revealing in them subtle rarefactions or alterations, which make them unique. Lately he explores and carries out a review of the authors of Modernity in search of details, differences and areas with a special vibration. Struggling against the frustration of realizing the unstoppable standardization that the consumer society is imposing on our habitats. His work can be found in different museums and collections such as the CGAC in Santiago de Compostela, the MOMA in New York (Judith Rothschild Collection), the María Cristina Masaveu Peterson Foundation, Coca-Cola Collection, DA2 Salamanca, CAB in Burgos, the UNICAJA Collection in Málaga or the MAC Conde Duque of the City Council of Madrid.
