Mari Quiñonero - We're all fine
Technique: Silkscreen printing
Artist Biography: Maru Quiñonero was born in Murcia, Spain, in 1979. Since her childhood she has been accompanied by synesthesia, which has allowed her to experience colors and shapes in a very personal way. Her passion for abstraction led her to dedicate herself fully to this current since 2017.In addition to abstraction, Maru has intensely investigated the use of color, both in popular culture and in classical and contemporary artists. This element is the main protagonist in her work, and she uses it in an emotional way to create a "conversation between color and emptiness".Maru Quiñonero's work is defined by its marked visual simplicity, but with a complex emotional charge. As she herself says, "if a work of art has a reason for being, very few elements are enough". Despite her short career, Maru Quiñonero has achieved an outstanding presence in the art scene, and has exhibited her work in several art galleries in Spain and other European countries. The artist continues to work and experiment in her quest to make sense of color and abstraction in her work.
