Artist Biography:Laia Abril's project "Lobismuller" focuses on a specific region, specifically Galicia, the land of origin of her paternal grandparents. In it, Abril revisits the story of one of the most enigmatic Spanish criminals of the 19th century, Manuel Romasanta, who murdered more than 20 women and children. Many of the disquisitions of the time pointed to an ancestral Galician tradition about the generational transmission of the werewolf qualities, with which, supposedly, the famous criminal was possessed. Subsequent research has evoked the hypothesis of the possibility that the murderer was subject to a gender duality. Abril proposes, in "Lobismuller", an analysis of this event, and the prejudices of the "fear of the other" from a gender perspective, evoking this possible intersexuality of the subject.
This work includes a certificate of authenticity. A certificate of authenticity is a document from an authoritative source that verifies the authentication value of the work of art. The certificate may be signed by the author of the work, by the representing gallery or by the printmaker who collaborated with the artist on the work.

Recommendations for the proper conservation of works of art:

- Avoid sudden changes in temperature. It is recommended to keep the paintings in areas with an ambient temperature of between 18-20º and 50% relative humidity.
- If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
