Artist Biography: "Joy Charpentier was born in 1991 in the gypsy community, she travels in France with her family before settling in Sete, in the south in 2000. He studied Art at the University Montpellier III , Villa Arson in Nice and finally gets his diploma and finishes his course at the school of fine arts in Bourges in 2017. Co-founder of the artist collective Groupe Vengeance, he works alone or in groups and develops a multidisciplinary artistic practice: performance, drawings or installation. His work is autobiographical and tends to deconstruct systems of social domination with absurd and crude humor and misappropriation. He lives and works in Montpellier".
