Jitka Hanzlová - HUMAN LIGHT #7 untitled (Eagle)
Artist Biography: Jitka Hanzlová is a renowned Czech photographer, born in Nachod, Kralovehradecky kraj, Czech Republic in 1958. She studied Visual Communication and Photography at the University of Essen in Germany, between 1987 and 1994, and since then has worked on her own projects. Throughout her career, she has been recognized with several awards, including the Otto Steinert Photography Award in 1993 and the European Photography Award in 1995, as well as being shortlisted twice for the Citibank Private Bank Photography Award in 2000 and 2003.Her most recognized work is "Rokytník," a series of photographs portraying the small Czech village of the same name where she grew up, and "Female," a collection of portraits of women from different countries. Hanzlová has won admiration in both Europe and America thanks to her photographic cycles focusing on communication and emotions, exploring themes such as memory, identity and landscape.Although in her early days she focused on personal memories, Jitka Hanzlová has developed a wide variety of photographic series throughout her career. Currently living and working in Düsseldorf, Germany, she continues to explore new themes and techniques in her quest to capture the complexity of human beings and their environment.

- If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
