Artist Biography: Irene Infantes was born in Seville in 1989 and currently works between Spain and Milan. She studied Textile Design at Central Saint Martins College, University of the Arts London, where she graduated in 2016. Her practice is developed in the textile field, working mainly with wool and exploring its uses throughout history.Infantes seeks to revalue a material that in the past was used as a bargaining chip, and for this she draws inspiration from history, culture and popular traditions. His work is situated at a meeting point between art and design, and he has collaborated with companies such as Lego, Christopher Farr or Lexus España.He has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions throughout Europe and the United Kingdom, and his works are part of private and public collections, such as the Andalusian Center for Contemporary Art, the MKG Museum in Hamburg, the University of the Arts London and Taka Ishii in Japan.René Infantes is represented by Alarcón Criado Gallery and his work is recognized for its focus on the use of traditional materials and their reinterpretation through a contemporary language. His work is an example of how textile practice can be employed to convey relevant stories and messages today.

- If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
