Artist Biography: Graciela Iturbide is a renowned Mexican photographer born in 1942. Her work focuses on portraying the culture and daily life of her country, with a special focus on documentary and black and white photography.In the exhibition at the Rafael Ortiz gallery, you can appreciate some of Iturbide's most representative works, such as the famous photograph "Angel Woman," which shows a woman from the Seri community in Sonora, Mexico, with a wooden angel on her head. This image has become a symbol of the culture and spirituality of Mexican indigenous communities.Another of Iturbide's outstanding photographs is "Our Lady of the Iguanas", which portrays a woman with several iguanas on her body, during a religious procession in Oaxaca, Mexico. - If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
