Diana Fonseca - Once is not another time
Artist Biography: Graduated from the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA) in 2005, Diana is one of the most interesting and gestural contemporary Cuban artists. He has had numerous personal exhibitions on and off the island. Among his most interesting individual projects are "Face to Face", a two-man show with Jacques Villeglé at the Brownstone Foundation, Paris, France; "Diana Fonseca", at the Sean Kelly Gallery in New York, United States; "Viaje a la semilla", together with Aimée García at Factoría Habana; and "Strange Truth," at El Apartamento, both in Havana, Cuba. His work has also been included in group exhibitions such as "Landlord Colors: On Art, Economy, and Materiality", at the Cranbrook Art Museum in Michigan, USA; "Illness has a Colour", collateral to the XIII Havana Biennial and held at Estudio 50; "The Cuban Matrix" (Torrence Art Museum, Los Angeles, United States), "Wild Noise" (Bronx Museum of the Arts, New York, United States), "Fireflies in the Night" (Stravos Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, Athens, Greece), and "Transhumance, Beyond Cuban Horizons" (CAB Art Center, Brussels, Belgium). Also noteworthy is his participation in art fairs of recognized prestige: ArtBo, The Armory Show, Untitled Art Fair, ARCO Madrid, Expo Chicago and LISTE Art Fair Basel. In 2015 she was awarded the EFG Bank & ArtNexus Acquisition Award, Bogota, Colombia. She has also been awarded a residency at Cast Research, Melbourne, Australia (2016) and JustMad in Asturias, Spain (2017).
This work includes a certificate of authenticity. A certificate of authenticity is a document from an authoritative source that verifies the authentication value of the work of art. The certificate may be signed by the author of the work, by the representing gallery or by the printmaker who collaborated with the artist on the work.

- Keep works of art away from direct sunlight and any other source of heat (heating, air conditioning, etc.). Avoid hanging works of art near smoky and polluted areas (such as fireplaces or kitchens). We advise you to protect the paintings with a glass frame.
- Avoid sudden changes in temperature. It is recommended to keep the paintings in areas with an ambient temperature of between 18-20º and 50% relative humidity.
- If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
