ALEJANDRO BOMBIN - Term
Artist Biography: Alejandro Bombín (Spain, 1985). The recurring themes in his work are error and memory. His approach is based on the over-information, transience and reproducibility that characterize the technological image of our time. However, his works start from images that belong to the past, to emphasize their ephemeral and perishable character and to emphasize the appreciation of the image as a corruptible record within the memory archive. His projects allude to the incessant verification of what has already been observed and the brief validity of what has been learned, questioning the validity of unalterable assumptions in the perceptive. After graduating in Fine Arts in 2008, he maintains an exclusive dedication to his artistic work and has a series of relevant exhibitions behind him. His work has had a special presence in American countries such as Chile, Peru and Colombia, but has also been seen in the United Kingdom, France and other European countries.
