'(dis)assembly'.

Sam Smith's work examines the language of film and its relationship to material ecologies. Working across media (video, sculpture, performance and installation), Sam Smith's practice addresses the relationship between the technical and the natural world, the subject and the object, from a hybrid point of view. The technical devices are shown outside their reified image, sharing materiality and sensoriality in consonance with the organic universe outside the frame. In the exhibition "(dis)assembly", the artist expands his research on the narrative forms of video, that of the narrative forms of video, the apparatuses of capturing and producing moving images, and those of media technology.
