Monica de Miranda Mónica de Miranda (Porto, Portugal, 1976) is an artist and researcher. In 2016 she was nominated for the Novo Banco Photography Award, and exhibited as a finalist at the Museu Coleção Berado, Lisbon. She was also nominated the same year for the Prix Pictet Photo Award. Monica graduated with a BA in Visual Arts from Camberwell College of Arts, an MA in Art and Education from the Institute of Education London and a PhD in Visual Arts from the University of Middlesex. Monica is also one of the founders of the Triangle Network artist-in-residence project in Portugal, and creator of the Hangar Center for Artistic Research project in Lisbon.Monica de Miranda has participated in multiple residencies at institutions such as Tate Britain, French Institute, British Council/Iniva. She has exhibited her work regularly and internationally since 2004. Her work is present in public collections such as the Fundaçao Calouste Gulbekian, the Museu Nacional de Arte Contemporânea do Chiado and the Arquivo Municipal de Lisboa. She describes herself as an artist working in the diaspora. Her work explores the fields of urban archaeology and personal geographies.
This work includes a certificate of authenticity. A certificate of authenticity is a document from an authoritative source that verifies the authentication value of the work of art. The certificate may be signed by the author of the work, by the representing gallery or by the printmaker who collaborated with the artist on the work.
The information usually included in a certificate of authenticity is: name of the artist, details of the work (title, date, support, dimensions) and an image of the work.
Recommendations for the proper conservation of works of art:
- Keep works of art away from direct sunlight and any other source of heat (heating, air conditioning, etc.). Avoid hanging works of art near smoky and polluted areas (such as fireplaces or kitchens). We advise you to protect the paintings with a glass frame.
- Avoid sudden changes in temperature. It is recommended to keep the paintings in areas with an ambient temperature of between 18-20º and 50% relative humidity.
- If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
Shipping usually takes around 7 days. Shipping costs are based on the location of the gallery and the size of the artwork. Costs for packaging materials are included.
Purchases made through the RedCollectors website (www.redcollectors.com) can be cancelled within 24 hours. After this period of time, the purchase is considered final.
Works acquired by means other than through the website wwww.redcollectors.com cannot be returned through RedCollectors. These returns must be arranged with the gallery directly.
