Rosalia Banet - Santa Brígida
Artist Biography: Rosalía Banet is a multidisciplinary artist, whose practice always starts from drawing, to develop projects that take different forms and formats, from paintings and sculptures to installations and audiovisual pieces. D. in Fine Arts from the University of Vigo, in her doctoral thesis she approached the mark left by AIDS in Spanish art, through the wounded body. From her work she analyzes and reflects on the systems and patterns we inhabit, from the territory of the body and its diseases, food, consumer society and the relationship with nature. He has worked in galleries such as Marta Cervera, Espacio Mínimo or Catherine Clark Gallery; and in institutions such as the Contemporary Art Center La Conservera, MAS (Contemporary Art Museum of Santander) or the Art Center of Alcobendas. Throughout his more than 20 years of career he has participated in international fairs such as ARCO(Madrid), CIGE (Beijing), FEMACO (Mexico) and Frieze (London). In recent years he has received several international awards and grants such as the scholarship of the Royal Academy of Spain in Rome (2016/17), artist in residence and Casa de Velázquez (French Academy in Madrid, 2018) and HIAP (Helsinki International Artist Programme, 2019).
This work includes a certificate of authenticity. A certificate of authenticity is a document from an authoritative source that verifies the authentication value of the work of art. - Keep works of art away from direct sunlight and any other source of heat (heating, air conditioning, etc.). Avoid hanging works of art near smoky and polluted areas (such as fireplaces or kitchens). We advise you to protect the paintings with a glass frame.
- Avoid sudden changes in temperature. It is recommended to keep the paintings in areas with an ambient temperature of between 18-20º and 50% relative humidity.
- If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
