Diango Hernández - Julián
Artist Biography: Diango Hernández is a Cuban contemporary artist born in 1970. He began his artistic practice in Cuba in 1994 as co-founder of Ordo Amoris Cabinet, a group of artists and designers who focused on invented solutions for design objects for the home to compensate for the permanent shortage of materials and goods. In 2003 he moved to Europe and currently lives and works in Düsseldorf, Germany.Hernandez's work has been exhibited in various international exhibitions and biennials, including the Venice Biennale, the Biennale of Sydney and the Biennale of São Paulo in 2006. In 2009, his work was the subject of a critically acclaimed exhibition, "Losing You Tonight," at the Museum für Gegenwartskunst, Siegen. Two installations of his were included in "The New Décor" at the Hayward Gallery, London in 2010. A retrospective exhibition of his work was held at the Museo D'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea (MART) in Rovereto in 2011-12.In 2013, the Marlborough Contemporary gallery in London presented a solo exhibition of his work, "The New Man and the New Woman". In 2014, her work was the subject of a solo exhibition called "Socialist Nature" at the Landesgalerie, Linz. In 2015, Hernandez had solo exhibitions at Marlborough Contemporary, London and at the Kunsthalle Munster. In 2016, a solo exhibition of his work, entitled "Theoretical Beach", took place at Museum Morsbroich, Leverkusen.Hernández's work explores themes such as identity, memory, history and politics, and uses a variety of media, including painting, sculpture, drawing and installation. His work is often characterized by careful attention to detail and a minimalist aesthetic, and has been described as poetic and philosophical.
This work includes a certificate of authenticity. A certificate of authenticity is a document from an authoritative source that verifies the authentication value of the work of art. The certificate may be signed by the author of the work, by the representing gallery or by the printmaker who collaborated with the artist on the work.

- Keep works of art away from direct sunlight and any other source of heat (heating, air conditioning, etc.). Avoid hanging works of art near smoky and polluted areas (such as fireplaces or kitchens). We advise you to protect the paintings with a glass frame.
- Avoid sudden changes in temperature. It is recommended to keep the paintings in areas with an ambient temperature of between 18-20º and 50% relative humidity.
- If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
