Artist Biography: Rocío Gordillo is a Spanish artist born in Seville in 1976. She is known for her multidisciplinary work, which includes painting, Print, sculpture and video art.Gordillo studied Fine Arts at the University of Seville and later obtained a master's degree in Graphic Design at the School of Art of Seville. His work is characterized by experimentation with different techniques and materials, and by the exploration of themes such as identity, gender and memory.In his paintings and prints, Gordillo uses an abstract and gestural aesthetic, creating organic and suggestive images that evoke emotions and sensations. In his sculptures, he works with materials such as iron, wood and ceramics, creating abstract and figurative forms that often explore the relationship between humans and nature.Gordillo has also worked in video art, using moving image and sound to create pieces that combine the visual with the auditory. In these works, he explores themes such as memory, identity and perception.Throughout his career, Gordillo has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Spain and other countries. His work has been recognized with several awards and mentions, including the Young Painting Award from the University of Seville and the International Contemporary Art Award from the Antonio Gala Foundation.
