Artist Biography: Virginia Rivas (Spain, 1981) has a degree in fine arts and works with different media: installation, video and light boxes, but the material that defines her is painting. She seeks to create her own palette in which textures, naïve drawings and brief texts that move between chance and intention in order to define what surrounds her. Awarded in Contenedores de Arte. AUPEX. Provincial Council of Badajoz and Cáceres. Hervás (Cáceres). Galleries VI Artistic Intervention Projects, La Cárcel_Centro de Creación, Segovia (2018). And received the Accésit XXIV Certamen Nacional de Artes Plásticas Art Nalón de Langreo (Asturias), the Premio-adquisition 9º Premio de Pintura Ciudad de Badajoz and the 1º Premio XVI Certamen de Pintura UNED Plasencia in 2016. The 2nd Prize XIX Painting Prize Indalecio Hernández 2015. The 1st Prize of the XII Painting Contest "Young Artists" of Cáceres 2012.In this work, Virginia Rivas works from a synaesthetic language to make a graphic analysis of sound. She concentrates on perceiving musical harmonies and rhythms on a pictorial level, in order to compose the work as a visual poem.
This work includes a certificate of authenticity. A certificate of authenticity is a document from an authoritative source that verifies the authentication value of the work of art. Recommendations for the proper conservation of works of art:
- Keep works of art away from direct sunlight and any other source of heat (heating, air conditioning, etc.). Avoid hanging works of art near smoky and polluted areas (such as fireplaces or kitchens). We advise you to protect the paintings with a glass frame.
- Avoid sudden changes in temperature. It is recommended to keep the paintings in areas with an ambient temperature of between 18-20º and 50% relative humidity.
- If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
Shipping usually takes about 7 days. Shipping costs are established according to the gallery location and the size of the artwork. Costs for packing materials are included.
