Artist Biography:

Pedro Muiño (Irixoa-A Coruña, 1954) was interested from a very young age in studying the classical masters, maintaining that interest over time, especially with the painters of the Renaissance. He exhibited for the first time at the age of 17 and in 1984 he founded, with the artists Xavier Correa Corredoira and Pepe Galán, the collective Gruporzán, with a gallery of the same name where most of the Galician plastic artists of that time exhibited. In this space, in addition to organizing exhibitions, graphic works were also published and cultural projects were designed for various institutions. For more than twenty years he has lived and worked in Alicante, after a stay of a year and a half in Catalonia.

He has participated in many group exhibitions in Spain, USA, Belgium, France and Portugal. His work has been present in different fairs such as Arco, Madrid (1887, 1999, 2001), Estampa, Madrid (1994, 2003), Art New York Fair, (2003), Art Miami (2004, 2005), Art Madrid (2009). JustLX, Lisbon (2019). JustMad, Madrid (2020). He has participated in eight editions of the Biennial Mostra Unión Fenosa, A Coruña, Biennials of Pontevedra (1981, 1983, 1987), Biennial Rafael Boti, Cordoba (1999). Euroamericana de Print, A Coruña (1996). His career has been recognized with the Julián Trincado Award at the V Mostra de Unión Fenosa.

Materials and care
Recommendations for the proper conservation of works of art:
  • Keep works of art away from direct sunlight and any other source of heat (heating, air conditioning, etc.). Avoid hanging works of art near smoky and polluted areas (such as fireplaces or kitchens). We advise you to protect the paintings with a glass frame.
  • Avoid sudden changes in temperature. It is recommended to keep the paintings in areas with an ambient temperature of between 18-20º and 50% relative humidity.
  • If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
