In "Punctuations", Antoni Muntadas contrasts the calligraphic version, traced by hand, of a set of punctuation and alphanumeric signs with its office version, produced with technical means. Both refer to the body that writes, but the first shows a unique and singular stroke, while the second is the result of a quick and more mechanical gesture, which gives rise to a standardized sign, which is always the same regardless of who writes it. The work tells us about the processes of technification of writing and the decreasing degree of the body and human effort in the forms of writing, increasingly digitized and automated.
