Concha Ybarra - Little vase with yellow balls and bouquet of flowers
Artist Biography:
Exploring invisible landscapes and emotional worlds Concha Ybarra's artwork seamlessly combines painting, drawing and ceramics, creating a captivating body of work that reflects her exploration of invisible landscapes and emotional realms. Inspired by the organic nature of ideas, her works take cellular form, delicately traced with illusory lines. Her work is characterized by subtle boundaries and a vibrant chromatic palette that permeates her canvases, papers and ceramics alike. Rooted in her hometown of Seville, her work is a fusion of personal introspection and cultural heritage, with a contemporary lens that reimagines traditional themes. Her creations evoke the essence of hidden gardens, symbolizing sanctuaries of retreat, meditation and passion. Through her art, Concha Ybarra defines spaces imbued with poetry, echoing the romanticism of the gardens described by Federico García Lorca in his writings.
