Norman Morales - Architecture in Conservation

Artist Biography: Norman Morales is a visual artist and sculptor born in Puerto Rico in 1968. He currently resides in Seville, Spain, where he has developed much of his artistic career. Morales is known for his multidisciplinary work, which ranges from sculpture to painting, installation and video art.Morales' work focuses on exploring themes such as identity, memory, history and culture. He often uses recycled materials and found objects in his works, which in turn deal with consumerism and consumer society. His sculptures and objects, created from scrap and abandoned materials, have a strong social and political character.Among the awards Norman Morales has received are the National Plastic Arts Award of Puerto Rico in the sculpture category in 2000, the Sculpture Award of the Biennial of Cerveira, Portugal in 2003 and the Sculpture Award of the Biennial of Florence, Italy in 2005. His work has been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums around the world, including the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Puerto Rico, the Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo in Spain and the Museo de Arte de Ponce in Puerto Rico.

The certificate may be signed by the author of the work, by the representing gallery or by the printmaker who collaborated with the artist on the work.
The information usually included in a certificate of authenticity is: name of the artist, details of the work (title, date, support, dimensions) and an image of the work.
Recommendations for the proper conservation of works of art:
- Keep works of art away from direct sunlight and any other source of heat (heating, air conditioning, etc.). Avoid hanging works of art near smoky and polluted areas (such as fireplaces or kitchens). We advise you to protect the paintings with a glass frame.
- Avoid sudden changes in temperature. It is recommended to keep the paintings in areas with an ambient temperature of between 18-20º and 50% relative humidity.
- If the work is to be permanently illuminated, we recommend the use of cold light bulbs. Use a soft feather duster for periodic cleaning of the work. Never use household cleaner.
Shipping usually takes about 7 days. Shipping costs are established according to the gallery location and the size of the artwork. Costs for packing materials are included.
