Parallel Universes

From 1 April to 1 June, Aurora Vigil-Escalera invites you to immerse yourself in the private imaginations of Víctor López (Madrid, 1975), Moisés Yagües (Murcia, 1972) and Carol Solar (Santiago de Chile, 1975) with 'Parallel Universes'. A dynamic and innovative exhibition, full of games, stories and magic that will entertain audiences of all ages.

Each of the artists opens the doors to their personal world, dominated by colour, fantasy, beauty and their own concerns. These worlds are very different but run in parallel, inspired by comics and illustration, fables and fairy tales, games and imagination.

These three artists bring together their distinctive personal styles to provide a reflection of reality and dreams. A distorted mirror through which they show their vision of the human being. Through which they tell their own stories, tinged with feelings, memories and longings, in which each viewer will have to unravel the meaning by searching deep within themselves, in order to find in their reflection their own tale to tell.

The subjective realities of Yagües, López and Solar are governed by an internal logic, different from that of our world. Loaded with symbolism and creativity, their magical realism shows us an alternative world in which the unusual is presented as everyday and the peculiar as marvellous.
