Artist Biography: Miguel Ángel Campano (Madrid, 1948 - 2018) was a Spanish painter considered one of the leading exponents of abstraction in Spain. His works are characterized by the presence of flat color fields and the use of techniques such as dripping and impasto.Campano exhibited in numerous galleries and museums both in Spain and abroad, and his work is part of important collections such as those of the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in Madrid, the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Barcelona or the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, among others.
